    The Lacuna – Barbara KIngsolver

One of the most beautifully written books I have ever read – Kingsolver gets into the mind of her characters like no other; they leap right off the page and become as real and dear to you as your friends and family. This book had a unique premise and was a wonderful take on real life events. The Lacuna weaves politics, nature, culture and relationships into one powerful and moving story about Harisson Shepherd and his encounters with Frida Kahlo, Leon Trotsky and Cold War America.

Hi. I’m just wondering if I’ll still be put in the random draw. I purchased a bookset last week and I read them and reviewed it today. Does it still count?

Daddies are Great by Meredith Costain and Polina Lovsin

My 8yr old thoroughly enjoys reading this book to his baby sister, who is intrigued by the wonderful illustrations. As siblings, this has become some kind of daily ritual. My son is gaining confidence read out loud. What a marvelous and positive message about dad’s that present, consistently, in their children’s lives.

I bought my son 2 Alex Rider books, Ark angel and Eagle strike as a birthday present for his collection. He thoroughly enjoyed them and were both finished by the following day. Next will be the 11, 12, 13th books to complete the collection.
