Not for the ignorant!

As a person who has no knowledge of cooking at all. I found the recipes to be quite complicated as one would have to have a lot of specialized ingredients and an expensive off the grid fridge to store the ingredients! I was hoping for something more basic for beginners with minimal ingredients and cooking equipment.
I would also have preferred photos of every meal as I find visuals more inspiring.
