Bree is by no means popular. Most of the time, she hates her life, her school, her never-there parents. So she writes.

But when Bree is told she needs to stop shutting the world out and start living a life worth writing about, The Manifesto on How to Be Interesting is born. A manifesto that will change everything...

...but the question is, at what cost?

AMAZING!!!

I read this book back in 2016 when I was fifteen and it has stuck with me ever since. This year I finally bought it and I'm so glad! I finally have a copy of arguably the best Holly Bourne book.
This book is amazing! And so important for young girls, or anyone really, who feels like they don't belong or who struggle with depression and low self-esteem. The main character, Bree, is by no means a perfect character. She is flawed, makes bad decisions, and has the type of cynically profound insights we're only ever privy to in our teenage years.
The first time I read this book, it changed my outlook on literature - it made me understand just how deeply words can touch you. When I read it again this year, I nearly sobbed in joy. This book is like a physical reminder of my state of mind when I first read it, an artifact of my teenage years.

I implore anyone thinking of getting this book, to do it. You will love it!
